I'm still trying to figure out
how to find the words that I mean.
Wanting something more is getting older, and older.
I know you're a little bit more fragile than you were last week,
and I just wish that you would stop and think.
Your headstrong attitude has become your greatest weakness.
It used to get you out of problems but now you only find them.
(You only find them.)
It's a little bit harder than it seems,
to try and keep a straight face,
while you tell me all those hurtful things.
And I have to stay so strong,
when everyone around me is breaking down.
These are things that I can't stop to consider,
cuz if I do for too long they'll make me sink into the ground.
And I won't be able to pick myself up anymore,
right off of my bathroom floor.
I've been down and out for so long
I can't even think about what it might mean,
to get up on my feet.
It's a little bit harder than it seemed, to try and keep a straight face
while you tell me all those hurtful things.
